Excalibur Geocoin Antique Gold – TB4R6HM

This is an Antique Gold Excalibur Geocoin which I added to my collection quite some time ago. This is actually one of the first Geocoins I bought after falling in love with them. This one is activated and you can see its page on Geocaching.com HERE.

I found an Antique Silver version of this coin in a geocache near Stuttgart Germany last year if you can believe that. If you are not familiar with Geocoins I will just let you know that it is extremely rare to find one this nice in a geocache. Most of the time someone will steal the geocoin instead of logging the find and placing it in another geocache. When I found the silver one the thought crossed my mind to keep it but then I thought about how I would feel if someone took one of my trackable items. Instead I bought my own Antique Silver one which I will post later.

Excalibur is the legendary sword of King Arthur, sometimes attributed with magical powers or associated with the rightful sovereignty of Great Britain. Sometimes Excalibur and the Sword in the Stone (the proof of Arthur’s lineage) are said to be the same weapon, but in most versions they are considered separate. The sword was associated with the Arthurian legend very early. In Welsh, the sword is called Caledfwlch. – Wikipedia

This coin was designed and produced by Geocoinshop.de and is still available for purchase HERE. I believe they ship world wide.
