I was the fifth person to find this cache and the first American to.
FATF!! (Fist Ami to Find) I decided to search for this cache today during my daily lunch time Geocaching adventure. I left my workplace it the Miesau Army Depot in my Dodge Nitro Decepticon Transformer Geocachingmobile and after in about 10 – 15 minutes I was at the parking spot. I remembered this location since I have already found the cache at the wasserturm.
I entered the coordinates in my Garmin Colorado 400t and headed out to the cache. As I neared the cache location I found it a bit of a challenge to find the actual cache. My had a good signal on my GPS but was still unable to find it. I decided to use my cacher instincts and forget about the GPS. In less then five more minutes I finally found the cache. It is about 20 meters off the listed coordinates. I found it at N 49.28.348 E 7.23.095. I quickly signed the logbook and replaced the cache right where, and exactly how, I found it.
I dropped in one of my WORLD FAMOUS Germany Bert Wooden Nickel Travel Bugs.
After finding the cache I visited with the horses that were enjoying their lunch in the nearby pasture. They would not come hear due to the electric fence around the pasture.
My personal trackables and a coupla of other trackables visited the cache.
Thanks for creating this cache and showing me a spot in Germany that I never would have visited. Good luck to the next seekers and please remember … no geocache find is worth losing your life or getting seriouly injured. SAFETY FIRST!!!
FATF!! (First Ami to Find!) I decided to search for this cache today during my daily lunch time geocaching adventure since it is the closest traditional cache to my workplace in at the Miesau Army Depot that I have not found.
I took off from work in my Dodge Nitro Decepticon Transformer Geocachingmobile and soon was at a good parking spot to start my search.
In no time at all I was at the cache location and within a few minutes it was in my hand. I quickly signed the logbook and replaced the cache exactly where and how I found it.
On the way back to my cachemobile I stopped by a giant forest ant hill that I spotted on my way to the cache. It is amazing how these litte insects can create such a big mound. All the ants were busy at work.
I dropped in one of my WORLD FAMOUS Germany Bert Wooden Nickel Travel Bugs.
My personal trackables and some other trackables visited the cache.
Thanks for creating this cache and showing me this spot in Germany that I never would have seen. Good luck to the next seekers and please remember … no geocaching find is worth losing your life or getting seriously injured.
It is not very often that you get to see a TRUE hero. People think movie stars, pro athletes, and singers are heros but they they are just entertainers. None of them would have the bravery or guts to do what even the lowest Soldier does.
SFC Leroy Petry on the other hand is a REAL hero! He risked his own life serving the people of the USA and Afghanistan but also to protect his fellow Soldiers.
I like to check out the polls on Realclearpolitics.com on a regular basis and am a bit surprised at how well our President is doing in the polls. With the media blasting him all the time it seems most Americans still feel, that among those in the running, he is the best person for the job.
After reading up a bit more on juice diets I am starting to realize that I don’t have to do an extreme one. My weight is not so high that I need to go on a week or longer fast like the guys in Fat, Sick , and Nearly Dead. Those to guy were very overweight and out of shape. Also I just had a complete exam and my stats are pretty good. Cholesterol and tryglycerides are a bit high but me change in eating habits should fix that.
I am gonna do some more research and find out what it the best way for me. I am still cutting way down on my meat intake and mainly trying to eat only fruits and vegatables. I will weigh myself tonight and see if there is any change since my first weighing.
If anyone has any advise please feel free to share!
“In case you didn’t know, the Mad Max series is due for a fourth installment. Tentatively due to hit theaters sometime in 2012, Mad Max: Fury Road is set to star Tom Hardy, Teresa Palmer and Charlize Theron… but, of course, the real stars we’re most interested in will be the cars, which are currently being designed.” – Autoblog.com
I dragged the old electronic scale out of it hiding spot last night only to find that not only is the battery dead….IT IS MISSING!
So, since I had to drive up to the Ramstein PX to get some ice for the BBQ we are having today I figured I would grab a battery also.
I got home and popped the battery in the scale (after finally figuring out which side needed to go up) and stepped on.
Now I thought I was nearing 200 pounds and was shocked to see 205!!! Now I know I need to really start working on getting myself back into shape. I think my first goal should be to lose 20 pounds. Once I am down to 185 I will see how I feel and re-evaluate my goal.
It will take some time but I want and need to do it!
Ok..well last night the wife and printed out the recipe for the original Mean Green Juice recipe that was featured on Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. I found the recipe HERE. The recipe is:
6 Kale Leaves
1 Cucumber
4 Celery Stalks
2 Green Apples
1/2 Lemon
1 piece of ginger
The Vogelweh commissary did not have and Kale so we substituted another type of cabbage. I can’t remember the exact name of it right now.
Bert at 200 Lbs.
We pull out our Kitchen Aid mixer and the accessory kit that I bought her for X-mas or her birthday a few years back. We had never had a chance to use the juicer attachement so it took us a while to figure out how it all went together.
We chopped up all our ingredients and shoved them in the mixer. Since this was our first time it took us a while to figure out the right amount of stuff to put in at one time.
It took us about 15 minutes to juice all the vegetables and fruit and I think after we get used to making it the time it takes will decrease.
So…..now it was done.
I should have taken a photo of the concoction but I forgot. Next time I won’t forget!
I pour a tall glass for the wife and another for me.
The first sip was scary. It actually tasted pretty good! It had a kinda tart and spicy taste. We had not strained the pulp out so it was also pretty thick. After a few minutes of drinking it I actually felt a bit lightheaded and nauseous. I think the nauseous feeling is only because I am not used to the taste yet and the cabbage was not the right kind.
I have a few more recipes and will look for more to find out which ones are the best for us.
We are starting slowly and have not really read much into the whole program yet. One of the difficult parts will be giving up coffee. I drink a lot of it and according to the plan we are not supposed to drink any at all.
